Washington Master Beekeepers

provides beekeeper education and certification for organizations in Washington State and beyond.

Our mission is as follows:

  • Increase the knowledge of beekeepers about honey bees.
  • Develop a pool of people capable of dealing with the media and public on bees and beekeeping.
  • Provide an objective system for an individual to evaluate and measure his own level of expertise,.
  • Encourage membership in and support of local beekeeper associations.

Additionally, WMB has also made a commitment to ensure that fees collected for student enrollment go toward promoting education at the local level. To that effect, WMB is aggressively awarding grants, as budget allows, to local clubs for equipment, teaching materials, and the like.
